Like I origionally said, I don't know if I'll be able to keep up.......but I am still trying. Today I am at Webster University at a blog conference. I hope to learn more about what I am getting myself into. :) There are so many wonderful teachers that have shared their amazing thoughts and ideas. I hope to so the same.

Daily 5-Writing Journals

During the Daily 5 Writing time my students use a decorated writing journal. These decorated journals help inspire creative writing. Just get a composition notebook, glue on photos, clip art, add stickers and seal with Modge Podge. It's such a fun way to get your kids ready to write.

Welcome Bags

During "Meet the Teacher Night" I have these bags on each student desks to welcome them to my classroom. I have included the document so you can change the font to your liking.

Welcome to Groovin' in 2! 
This summer I've been obsessed with checking out so many amazing blogs, I thought I'd give it a try myself!  The countdown is on, we have 16 days until school starts.   I work for the Francis Howell School District in Saint Charles, Missouri.  This will be our first year on a regular school schedule.  I'll miss the year round calendar, cycle breaks were a LIFE SAVER!  

I've been working quite a bit in my classroom since I moved rooms over the summer.   This was by choice!! What was I thinking??  After being in room 3 for over ten years there was a lot to be moved and dumped!  It's amazing all the things you can shove into those nooks and cranies.  :)
